AE021 combines two of the most wearable fine jewellery formats into a single, well-proportioned drop earring. The upper element is a plain polished gold huggie hoop — 8mm diameter, 2mm thick, with a secure hinged snap closure that sits flush against the earlobe. Clean, architectural, and unset — the huggie exists purely as a structural frame for what hangs below.

The drop is a pie-cut diamond cluster presenting a full 1ct face-up emerald-cut appearance. Step-cut and baguette diamonds are precision-fitted inside an octagonal bezel frame, their combined table producing the characteristic long rectangular face and cropped corners of an emerald cut. The open side windows of the bezel allow light to enter the cluster from the sides, maintaining brilliance across the full face. The cluster hangs from the huggie on a fine connecting link, giving it a subtle movement that catches light as the earring is worn.

The contrast between the plain polished huggie and the all-diamond drop below is the defining quality of AE021 — restraint at the ear, impact at the lobe.
